Summary:
This position is under the direct supervision of the Surveillance and Security Officer Manager and under the indirect supervision of the General Manager or designee and is located at The Stables Casino.
This position is responsible for protecting all Stables Casino assets and maintaining the integrity of gaming while providing a safe environment for employees and guests at The Stables Casino.
MAJOR JOB FUNCTIONS:
Guards and monitors premises to prevent theft, property destruction, violence or rules and safety violations Performs fire prevention, safety and maintenance tasks and parking/traffic enforcement Greets incoming guests and tenants, provides information regarding the site and surrounding area as requested by visitors Makes periodic tours to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment Provides escorts for casino property when being transported from one location to another Provides crowd control and assists local law enforcement agencies in the event of emergency situations Escorts and/or assists guests, vendors, employees, or other visitors while on property as needed Assists with emergency medical situations that may occur Maintains a cohesive work environment through teamwork within the department as well as with every department within the Casino Answers phones, monitors radios and data entry Complete incident reports and submit in timeframe established Routinely use a two-way radio for communication, with proper etiquette OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
Safeguard all confidential information and maintain departmental confidentiality Observe patrons to detect various types of scams, fraud, and other violators Report any personal circumstances that may pose conflict of interest or hamper credibility to the Stables Casino Performs other tasks and duties as directed This position includes but is not limited to the job functions listed above.
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age Must have a High School Diploma or GED Must possess a valid driver's license Must have one (1) to two (2) years related experience or training (preferred) Must be able to obtain and maintain a Modoc Nation Gaming License May be subject to criminal background investigation Must possess in high integrity regarding confidential and sensitive information Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral Must have the ability to work in fast paced environment, multitask and meet deadlines REGULATORY COMPLIANCE:
Maintains excellent working relationships with other Company staff and all applicable regulatory commissions and other agencies as may be applicable to ensure compliance.
Performs all duties in accordance with the gaming operations core values, objectives of the Modoc Nation, system of internal control policies and procedures, as well, as applicable laws and gaming regulations, including but not limited to, the state-tribal compact, IGRA, MICS, the Bank Secrecy Act, Office of Foreign Asset Control, USA Patriot Act and Privacy Act.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
