Director of Marketing

Summary of Duties The Director of Marketing will be responsible for leading our company's marketing efforts and providing guidance by evaluating and developing marketing strategies, planning, and coordinating marketing efforts, communicating the marketing plans, and building awareness and positioning of our company.
This position is responsible for:
Planning, directing, and coordinating the marketing department's promotional campaigns, special events, advertising, social media, and daily marketing activities.
Forecasting, developing, and implementing budgets.
Working closely with vendors/agencies Position Description Supervise the Marketing department team including coaching and mentoring them in performance and best practices to carry out the initiatives established by the Company, conducting performance evaluations, monitoring schedules and attendance and conducting disciplinary actions, as needed.
Always provide excellent guest service for all internal and external guests of the Casino operations and in all activities.
Prepare the annual marketing plan and budget that will help maintain and grow a strong local base of guests along with new guests aligned with business objectives.
Assist with developing proforma and postformas.
Maintain and report quarterly review of regulations and budgetary compliance.
Assist with the development and implementation of short- and long-term strategic marketing plans involving events, tournaments, promotions, and reinvestment strategies.
Oversee the departmental adherence to the budget, analytical reports, team members, schedules of the team members and marketing strategies.
Interview, hire, schedule, develop, train, discipline, counsel, and evaluate subordinate team members.
Developing solutions for guests concerns and continual focus on guest service as our top priority.
Conduct a review and analysis of each promotion and special event, reporting the impact and effectiveness of the marketing program's (ROI).
Provide an exceptional model and methodology for casino guest service standards of excellence.
Ensure adherence to all company and departmental rules, regulations, and internal controls.
Maintain strict department security, confidentiality, and quality to meet professional standards of the department.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to develop a comprehensive Marketing Plan.
Ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions when required.
Ability to develop a team to include completion of all required training and knowledge relating to their positions.
Ability to understand and analyze Budget & P&L Statements.
Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities in a demanding work environment.
Experience with ad campaigns including media experience in graphics designs.
Requirements Education/Qualifications Bachelor's degree (B.
A.
/B.
S.
) from an accredited four-year college or university.
Related experience may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis.
Required Seven (7) years casino marketing experience in a managerial role, including advertising.
Five (5) years of experience in purchasing, advertising or TV, radio, and written publications.
Must have extensive database/direct mail computer skills and experience to perform market segmentation and profit analysis.
Database marketing and marketing analytics.
Events or promotional campaign planning experience.
Track record of managing, developing, and improving a player loyalty and reinvestment program.
Five (5) years of budget experience.
Good oral and written communication skills; must be fluent and literate in English.
Must be proficient in Casino Management and Player Tracking Systems.
Must be able to specify your experience with types of Player Tracking Systems.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Excel, Access, Word, Power Point) and SQL.
A thorough understanding of compliance with all regulatory, governmental, and internal control requirements.
Licensing through state regulatory agency.
Licensing o Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License Work Requirements Shift Hours:
M-F (varies) Requires problem solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.
Position involves prolonged walking, stooping, or bending, lifting, or carrying up to 50 pounds daily.
Work is performed in a casino and/or event environment with varying levels of lighting, air quality, noise, and / or temperature.
